Airborne wind turbine

Back in the 1970s, I wondered why windmills were on the ground, considering that all you’d have to do is make them lighter than air, and you could fly them like kites, which not only would save real estate, but give you access to those high-speed turbulence-free winds way up there. I put several designs in my IDEAS composition books, but finally somebody’s getting around to a really sensible approach: a blimp.
